LAPD did not renew Flock — cameras may still be recording

2A-channel post on LAPD letting the Flock contract lapse. Flags the hardware problem: the department does not own the poles, so non-renewal is not the same as the units going dark.
Why it is in the file
Los Angeles is the largest-city test of 'we ended the contract.' Quote the caveat: access paused is not cameras removed.
They have not renewed their contract and the LAPD will stop using Flock cameras as of today. HOWEVER, the cameras are likely still recording and transmitting as LAPD doesn't own them.
